ABOUT

Registered Dietitian Nutritionists have the knowledge and training to help people live their best lives. The Culinary Nutrition Workshops support RDs & healthcare professionals bridge the gap nutrition education what clients understand about food.

Our mission is to change the conversation when discussing dietary protocols with clients. Instead of educating them on what they need to limit or “can’t have” per diagnosis protocol, empower them with foods they CAN eat and healthy cooking techniques that can be used at home to prepare flavorful food.

Attendees will spend the day working on their culinary skills, learning behavior change techniques to work with clients focused on culinary nutrition, and network with like-minded healthcare professionals.

Sam Moll, RD

Sam's work in nutrition started in the dirt, farming vegetables for four years in rural Pennsylvania.  There, while turning the season’s bounty into delicious dinners and tangy ferments, he learned that food is something to celebrate and a cornerstone of resilient communities.  Through an M.S. program at Hunter College, Sam dug deeper into the science of food and nutrition, and in 2020, became a Registered Dietitian.

Currently, he integrates medical nutrition therapy, culinary nutrition, and mindfulness into his role as a Clinical Dietitian at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY.  He also works in the community leading mindfulness classes for the Sylvia Center, a youth culinary program, and assists Abbie and Julie with their Culinary Nutrition Workshops!

Mary Morawetz, RD, Chef

Mary is a Registered Dietitian and food enthusiast. She holds a master’s degree in nutrition from Columbia University and completed the Chef’s Training Program at The Natural Gourmet Institute (now the Natural Gourmet Center at the Institute of Culinary Education).

Corinne Levy, Chef

Corinne Levy is a 2020 graduate of Johnson & Wales University with an associate degree in Culinary Arts and a bachelor's in Culinary Nutrition. After gaining experience working in kitchens both small and large, Corinne started sharing her expertise with others by working with Farm Fresh Rhode Island’s Nutrition Education Program. There she was able to teach older adults in the community about seasonal foods, the benefits of local markets, and how to cook some delicious recipes!

Her passion for cooking and teaching continued when she began her senior internship working for Julie Harrington RD. During that time she had the pleasure of teaching virtual classes, assisting behind the scenes at Julie and Abbie’s workshops, and creating informational culinary nutrition graphics and videos. Now, Corinne is very excited to continue working with Julie, Abbie, and the rest of the team at CN Studio. Corinne’s ultimate goal is to help people feel happy & healthy; bridging the gap between culinary skills and nutrition education is a way to reach that dream.

Outside of the kitchen, Corinne loves hiking, roller skating, crafting, and spending time with her cats Kirby & Autumn.
